Join us in the Hardscrabble studio for a spring kokedama workshop featuring fragrant hyacinths and sculptural pussy willow branches.
Kokedama is a traditional Japanese planting technique in which plants are grown in a moss-covered soil sphere rather than a conventional pot. In this workshop you will create your own living arrangement combining early spring bulbs and branches for a striking seasonal display.
Participants will learn the basic technique for creating kokedama and leave with a finished arrangement ready to enjoy at home as the hyacinths bloom.
Tea will be served during the workshop and guests are welcome to linger and enjoy the studio atmosphere.
